This is a career developing new position aimed at taking you and our operational excellence set-up in the Nordic & UK region to the next level. The overall purpose of the role is to drive operational excellence initiatives as well as transformation projects across the Manufacturing plants in the Nordic region as well as for the plant in Manchester, UK.
In this role you will be reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, Flat roofing & Insulation Nordic & UK and the scope of the role covers the 4 Flat Roofing manufacturing sites as well as 2 slate mines in the region. You will have full responsibility for the overall coordination and planning of Operational Excellence related matters as well as both driving and supporting the execution of transformation projects. A key success factor is the very close collaboration with the sites as well as all cross country and cross functional stakeholders.
We believe you are based at our site in Malmö, Sweden. Due to travelling, a close connection to a central airport is ideal.
Your main tasks will be:
Initiate, coordinate and execute operations excellence plans and projects from start to end - in close collaboration with all stakeholders. Including, but not limited to, Inventory management of raw materials, spare parts etc and product recipe optimization and standardisation.
Develop, support and drive transformation projects by being a key player in areas like Sustainability Roadmaps, Digital tools Journey as well as strategic manufacturing planning.
Responding to the business demand to increase cross functional and country collaboration and communication.
Develop, lead, support the local site teams in identifying opportunities, coordinate and execute improvements in all our manufacturing processes.
Overall, prepare and support the local site teams in our continuous transformation journey towards being the best in class roofing company.
Here's what you bring to the table:
Ideally you hold a Master degree in engineering, or comparable technical education/experience.
Furthermore, you have a proven track record of minimum 5-10 years in a similar position, within manufacturing, operational excellence, supply chain, from a large international manufacturing player.
You have in-depth knowledge of E2E Supply Chain in general, good financial understandings as well as experiences from developing business cases and have been driving operational excellence projects in a complex production environment in the past.
You are a self-starter who spots opportunities for improvements and dares to challenge status-quo. At the same time, you are a true team player who understands the importance of communication, collaboration and building trust to deliver sustainable results.
We also believe you have/are:
Experience from working in an international environment, preferably in a matrix organisation, and with cross functional stakeholders.
Experience in change processes and change management; i.e. a strong understanding of what it takes to instigate, lead and manage change.
Solid experience from digital tools and ERP-systems.
Used to be hands on, presence on the field, working together with all the stakeholders from start to end.
In addition to fluent English, you are proficient in at least one of the Nordic languages.
