At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Electrical Engineer Senior you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Electronics Engineer Senior joining our team who will:
- Inspect the designs, fabrications, modifications, installations and evaluate electrical apparatus, components, or circuitry such as, but not limited to, Power Converters, Uninterrupted Power Supplies, cabling, conduit, and Power Distribution Boxes for use in defense electrical equipment and devices.
Candidate will work closely with the GDIT subcontractor to ensure all requirements are met IAW with the Statement of Work (SOW), by inspecting and documenting results of the installations and providing Quality Assurance/Quality Checks inspection results to GDIT Leadership. Review proposed timeline and milestones to be sure they are to industry standard and are achievable.
Candidate will provide recommendations to resolve issues that arise during installations.
Candidate will review the SOW sustainment plans and recommend plans for regular inspections and ongoing maintenance to ensure their products stay at peak efficiency.
Candidate will be working in foreign countries alongside Host Nation Citizens and Other Country Nationals (OCNs) and must be familiar with their customs.
Advanced mathematical skills for calculation of subcontractor proposed design equations.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical specifics to GDIT Leadership and customers.
Writing skills for preparing activity reports, inspection results, and CDRLs,
Focus and concentration to understand complex electrical systems that are key to national security.
Self-motivation to keep up with current electrical advances using new technologies specifically Host Nation electrical standards.
Using industry-specific tools to analyze and test electronics.
Time-management skills for meeting deadlines
Understanding and implementing designs from technical drawings
Interacting with contractors and customers using verbal and written communication
Making presentations to clients and coworkers
Attending meetings with key stakeholders
Creating product documentation and records
Testing electronics for problems and proposing solutions and innovations.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent Certifications and experience.
- Required Experience: minimum 5+ years of related experience.
- Required Technical Skills: Electrical Technical and Engineering.
- Security Clearance Level: Secret
- Location is Kuwait and surrounding nations. Must be willing to travel 75% of the time.
- US Citizenship Required
